I mentioned earlier in my post about the transit station to be built near the new Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center that 5 acres, adjacent to the property, were to be developed into a mixed use commercial development with two towers. Well, today news hit that Grove Street Partners won the bidding war for this property for $12.5 million and plans to bring an intown feel to the area. Here’s some of the plans for this $170 million development:

• A 15 story office building with 350,000 square feet of space
• An 18 story hotel / condo tower with 200 hotel rooms and 38 condo units
• Ground level restaurants and retail
• A tree lined “grand boulevard” leading to the Performing Arts Center
• Pedestrian friendly sidewalks and tables for outdoor eating
